Inside Rimac’s Croatian hypercar campus
Croatian electric hypercar maker Rimac has unveiled plans for a €200m ($238m) HQ that will encompass two million square feet on the outskirts of Croatian capital of Zagreb and will be the place where Rimac’s own cars as well as motors, batteries and drivetrain components for electric vehicles of other companies are produced.
Plans are afoot to open the facility in 2023 and 2,500 workers will be on site, or campus, which will be split in two, the campus will be the site in which Rimac’s own cars as well as motors, batteries and drivetrain components for electric vehicles of other companies are manufactured.
Rimac currently employs around 1000 people and are in the process of finalising their second production model, a two thousand-horsepower electric hypercar codenamed the C_Two. The C_Two is a follow up to the Concept One model, the company’s 1,287 hp all-electric hypercar which can the Concept One can reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 2.6 seconds and continue to accelerate to a top speed of 355 km/h (221 mph)
Rimac campus – key features:
- The facility will be designed by Croatian architecture firm 3LHD and will be carbon-neutral featuring staff relaxation lounges, a restaurant, a gym and a games room
- Combining past and the future Rimac’s test track and production facility will be situated next to a 15th century church designed to blend into the local woodland
- On-site organic food production, sheep grazing nearby and child care facilities.
- There will also be a museum
- The campus will be open to the public with immersive tours and trips hosted for members of the public
“The public can completely join us, eat with us, see the museum, have factory tours,” said company founder Mate Rimac. “Kids from schools can come in buses and do factory tours...We want to include people as much as we can, the nice parks we will build will also be for them.”
“Our long-term play is very different from what we are discussing now. I think this today is relevant for the next three or four years, but we are thinking and acting way beyond that, which will be very different from what we are talking about now.”

The new complex will be its international R&D and production base and enable the company to ramp up from prototype and smaller volume projects to high-volume production of its high-performance electric drivetrain and battery systems for many global car companies.
